About Us
Cliff and Evans Ltd. was founded by Jonathan Cliff and David Evans, two lifelong friends who were convinced that there had to be a way to improve the consumer experience in the construction industry. With an eye for value engineering and a passion for communication, Cliff and Evans was formed to cater to the clients who needed experienced, organized construction management leaders to do more than simply build a structure. Now with hundreds of completed projects under their belts, the team has honed their expertise in both the residential and commercial construction worlds.
Cliff and Evans has experience working throughout Southern Ontario. Our expertise has been sought by clients in many parts of the Greater Toronto Area that feature Toronto’s iconic century-old housing and historic buildings, including the Annex, the Beaches, the Financial District, Forest Hill, High Park, Hoggs Hollow, King City, the Kingsway, Lawrence Park, Moore Park, Roncesvalles, Rosedale, Summerhill, Trinity Bellwoods and Yorkville. Outside of the GTA, the team has completed diverse projects in Caledon, Collingwood, Georgian Bay, the Kawarthas and Muskoka.
Over the last decade, Cliff and Evans has also been widely recognized for their many contributions to the industry. In 2019, Cliff and Evans was proud to win the prestigious Best Condominium Suite Renovation award by BILD at their 21st Annual Renovation and Custom Home Awards.

Jonathan Cliff
Co-Founder
Jon is the Co-Founder of Cliff and Evans and brings decades of hands-on site experience and an “eagle-eyed” leadership style to the team. In his role, Jon directs the construction estimation and budgeting portion of the team’s projects and conducts construction feasibility assessments, as well as oversees the successful execution of the construction process itself, including equipment and property operations and project financial risk management.
With a degree in Environmental Science from McGill University and a post-graduate certificate from the Ontario Building Officials Association, Jon has accumulated extensive knowledge in construction practices, techniques and products, which informs his affinity for exquisite architecture, craftsmanship and quality. His educational background has also driven him to continue to seek out new information on improved building techniques in the face of climate change impacts as well as how to incorporate sustainable options into the team’s building practices.
During his career, Jon has managed both residential and commercial jobs in diverse environments throughout urban and rural settings across Southern Ontario. Jon is also a member of BILD (Building Infrastructure and Land Development).
As an engaged leader who is not afraid to get his hands dirty, Jon genuinely enjoys knowledge sharing and educating team members and clients. He excels at motivating the Cliff and Evans on-site crews and is able to manage all aspects of the construction process with precision.
David Evans
Co-Founder
Dave is the Co-Founder of Cliff and Evans and brings his extensive background and expertise in project management to the team. In his role, Dave oversees all aspects of Cliff and Evans’ business strategy and growth, including the design and implementation of the team’s processes and financial management, as well as for the individual construction projects.
After attending Wilfred Laurier University and obtaining a degree in Economics, Dave completed a post-graduate certificate in Project Management from Humber College, where he refined his proactive style of leadership that focuses on open and honest communication and meticulous organization. Through his education, Dave gained extensive knowledge in all areas of project management, including practical expertise in scope and quality control as well as cost and risk management.
Dave is a member of BILD (Building Infrastructure and Land Development) and currently sits on the Renomark Government Relations Committee. He is regularly asked to contribute to industry panels and publications, and most recently gave a talk on the “ABCs of Condo Renos” at the Toronto Home Show.
As an effective leader who excels at motivating teams to achieve their goals, Dave is always in pursuit of the most innovative strategies and technologies available to increase Cliff and Evans’ efficiency and capacity for excellence.
