Project Information

This off-grid cottage was constructed on an island in Georgian Bay using beautiful Douglas Fir timber. Island construction necessitated that all materials and labour were transported by boat to the project site, so significant planning and organization at the outset of the project was critical. The interior was finished with natural materials that were thoughtfully chosen to compliment and highlight the cottage’s natural surroundings. In order to maximize the family’s enjoyment of their outdoor space, we constructed expansive decks and custom designed frameless glass railings to provide a safe space without compromising the views of the sunset.
